Non-Invasive Fluid Monitoring

The non-contact measurement of liquids on flexible and hard plastic hoses plays an important role in a variety of applications with the highest sterility, hygiene, and cleanliness requirements.

Non-invasive flow sensors and air bubble detectors are used in medical technology, biotechnology, and processes in the semiconductor industry.

Ultrasonic Flow Meter for Liquids

Ultrasonic flow sensors from the SONOFLOW and SEMIFLOW product series are used for efficient non-contact flow measurement on flexible and hard plastic hoses. The flow meters reliably record the flow rate and the volume flow of the liquid. Switching outputs on the flow sensors enable external devices such as pumps or valves to be switched on or off.

The ultrasonic clamp-on flow sensor SONOFLOW CO.55 measures the flow rate of liquids in flexible plastic hoses quickly and reliably. The SEMIFLOW CO.65 ultrasonic clamp-on flow meter is the perfect solution for non- contact flow measurements on hard plastic hoses or pipes.

Ultrasonic Bubble Detector

The smart air bubble detectors of the SONOCHECK family are used in a variety of industrial applications in the fields of medical technology, biotechnology & life sciences, pharmaceuticals, the food and beverage industry, the semiconductor industry as well as in the areas of process control and automation. The sensors can detect (micro)bubbles and can be used to differentiate between air and liquid in tubes. On top of that, air bubble detectors are used as level gauges.

Ultrasonic Bubble Sensor: Model: – SONOCHECK® ABD05 and ABD07

The SONOCHECK type ABD05 and ABD07 air bubble sensors are special developments for use in medical applications with increased safety requirements. The sensors detect air and gas bubbles in hoses through which liquids such as blood, blood plasma, water or saline solutions flow without contact and are also used for wet/dry detection. In most medical applications, the sensors serve to protect patients from dangerous air infusions.

Level Detection Sensor

The non-invasive level monitoring of liquids plays an important role in numerous areas of medical technology and industrial processes. Ultrasonic level sensors are used, among other things, for monitoring the liquid level in medical drip chambers, as full/empty indicators, especially on thin pipes, or for droplet-sensitive detection of levels.

Blood Leak Detector

Blood Leak Detector

The BLD optical sensor detects the smallest traces of blood in clear liquids in transparent, flexible plastic tubes without contact. According to the medical safety standard IEC 60601-2-16:2018, the sensor reliably detects 0.35 ml/min blood at a flow rate of 800 ml/min and a haematocrit value of 32%. A proven hardware design and advanced algorithms guarantee excellent protection against the effects of extraneous light.
